In response to a growing demand for a quality Internet experience in a community context, PlaNet aims to establish a world-wide network of cafes and business centres which will serve a flexible product range that reflects evolving sources of Internet revenue.

Society is experiencing a transition of immense proportions as the Internet meshes with a growing number of our daily activities. PlaNet is responding to a demand that using the Internet become more than a solitary activity engaged in at home or at work on poor quality equipment connected to a slow line. PlaNet is creating an online experience that preserves physical community and serves geographically distanced online communities. In the belief that concepts of community and physical connection will continue to be integral to the effective functioning of online society, PlaNet provides online services in a community environment.

PlaNet has begun to establish a network of online locations tailored to the communities they serve. PlaNet cafes provide an experience of surfing and electronic communication in an environment of cafe living. PlaNet will also expand into provision of more traditional access to the Internet such as dial-up lines and Internet Telephony, and it's points of presence (POPs) will become one-stop shops for users of Internet services.

PlaNet cafe points of presence (POPs) foster a face to face relationship with the client base, facilitating the integration of new products as the internet provides them. In a world where no one can be sure exactly where the next Internet revenue stream will come from, it is customer contact that will allow PlaNet to rollout the next big internet product.
